About the main characters.

Eddie Morra-the mainest character-used to be very poor and unorganized writer for a local publishing agency. But it was before he started to take NZT. After that he seems to be the cleverest person ever.
Very charming, smart and purposeful. But, unfortunately it isn't his natural qualities.

Lindy-Morra's girlfriend. Very ambitious woman, but a bit conservative, because she was refusing to take NZT for a long time even when her life was in danger. In fact, she doesn't love "old" Eddie. She even breaks with him, but they are starting to date again after his misterious (for her) change.

Carl van Loon-Eddie's employer-the director in one of the world's biggest financial companies. An old soldier lives like he is still in a war. Thinks that life is struggle. He has achieved his post without any help. He guesses, that Eddie's gift has not natural origin, but doesn't pay any attention to it while Eddie helps him to get money.

Dear, Alan Glynn, to start with, I'd like to say that I really apreciate your book.

 The first thing that I like is that the book shows all the problems we have in our modern society. That is very important for me to understand that the main character is like the real person-like you and me.

He has a lot of addictions and difficulties with work, with money and many others. And after taking NZT he becomes like a superhero. What did I like else-is that effect of the drug is scientifically proved.

  The thing that I didn't like is that the novel isn't instructive. The main character doesn't understand that his actions were wrong. Quite the cotrary, he makes his career due to NZT and finds the way how to make the effect eternal. 

  So, Mr. Glynn, if I were you I would just change the ending and nothing else. If the hero realized that his actions were wrong he would become a role model for our generation.

Some kind of analysis

   I don't think, that this book will become an integral part of our culture, but we can see the most common problem of our society-taking drugs. Of, course, "NZT" is not just a drug in the meaning, in that we got used  to take it. It's some kind of dope that stimulates our brain. But as drug it has one side effect: you would die anyway, if you took a pill once.
   This book doesn't teach you. It doesn't teach you that drug taking is bad; doesn't teach you how to act in such kind of situation. It's just adventure novel.
   To make this book better, I would change the ending: in the original Eddie just finds the way how to make the effect of ''NZT'' eternal. I would make Eddie understand that he is clever enough to do without ''NZT'' and find some kind of antidote. Then, may be, the book would be taken much seriously.
